Laying the track over graded and leveled roadbed.  A layer of used carpet prevents the crushed granite ballast from disappearing into the soft sugar sand.  A two inch layer of ballast is evenly spread over the carpet.  A twenty foot long track panel is lifted into place and joined with the preceding panel.  It's just simple, back-breaking work!  Come on out and join us.
